"I decided to try out in home pet sitting for my 2 older babies, Mazzy,12 and Sam,10, who, after happily going to kennels for years, had started to get weirded-out by the experience in their grey-bearded years. They were immediately thrilled to have Cynthia as their new best friend when she visited with them twice daily for a week over the holidays. I could tell when I got home that they had received nothing but great care; walks, play, love, it was obvious. Not only did Cynthia send me a couple text messages throughout the week keeping me updated on their latest hi-jinks, when I got home I found a daily diary for both Mazzy and Sam loaded with great observations and noting their time together. "A recent week-long trip finally motivated me to look into pet sitting services...after years of asking favors of friends and neighbors. A colleague recommended Chicago-Pets...they are wonderful! My three cats seemed calmer than usual when I returned home (instead of snubbing me for at least a day). "Seriously, Chicago-Pets does rule! I love this service and so does my guy Howie. I am fairly new to using this type of a service but decided to give it a try for the Thanksgiving weekend. I did not want to board Howie, he hadn't been feeling well and a friend of mine recommended I try out a sitter who would come to my home and recommended Chicago-Pets. The How I came home to was a happier guy than I ever picked up at the kennel. Seems the attention and exercise Jim gave him was the cure for whatever was ailing him. He was perky, energetic and while he was happy to see me, I could tell he hadn't been lonely. Jim left a note after each visit telling me what they did, how he was and I noticed he was paying close attention to how Howie was feeling. I loved reading those notes. "Coming from Florida, Brutus our kitty had a wonderful pet-sitter. Someone I consider a friend. She loves Brutus almost as much as we do so finding him the right sitter was going to be a challenge. Nothing but the best for our baby. In comes Cynthia. Not surprisingly, Brutus took to her immediately. Next he met Hylda. Love at first sight. Well that was enough for me because Brutus knows who is kind and who will treat him with love and gentleness like we do. We left him for 3 weeks the first time. I was updated via email and texts. Hylda even sent pictures of our baby. I was happy and relieved to see he was doing so well. Second time we left him I was even more relaxed. This was for a week. When we get home he is always so sparkling clean and shiny just like when we left him. "When Cynthia came to look after me I was all like 'you're not my mom,’ but by the end of our visit, I was like 'Mom-who?' I jest. See, I smelled other feline on her and figured she probably knew what was doing. And she did! She freshened my water, refilled my food bowl and I showed her how I like to play with string. To be honest, I could've used a couple more of those yummy, organic treats. But I think my Mom told her I'm watching my weight.
